WHAT

Residential

PLACEHOLDER TEXT
The design response for the poolhouse has sought to draw inspiration from the various material and building line datums (cornices, etc.) of the existing house and cottages (to be demolished).
As demonstrated in the sketches adjacent, in order to integrate the scheme in the context of the existing, datums have become design datums for the new poolhouse and do in turn provide a means to justify the design against as the existing.
The gable proportions have also been assessed and determine a 25 degree pitch would be appropriate to the new roof of the poolhouse. Albeit it would potentially help the design if the gable proportion of the new poolhouse was slight steeper, but retaining a lower ridge height than The Old Rectory and the existing cottages (to be demolished), the new annexe will remain subservient
to the main house.
